Great Lakes Poodles Health Warranty A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is required to hold a puppy. The balance must be paid in full when puppy is six weeks old. A pet puppy is defined herein to be a Medium (or Standard) Poodle puppy and embodies the general characteristics of the Poodle breed. This puppy is purebred and the litter has been registered with the American Kennel Club.
This puppy is sold with limited AKC registration. (for pet only)
This puppy is guaranteed to be in good health and has been vaccinated and dewormed properly for the puppy’s present age. Breeder will provide accurate health records of this puppy. This guarantee is warranted to the original purchaser for three days.
The buyer should have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within three days. (Breeder is not responsible for vet bills).
Although Great Lakes Poodles has a rigid regimen for treating intestinal and external parasites, we DO NOT guarantee against intestinal or external parasites, ear infections, ear mites or other minor issues that are easily treated or relatively inexpensive. We also do not guarantee against any cosmetic defects such as scar tissue left from a closed umbilical hernia, or dew claws that grow back. Undescended testicles or small hernias that can be repaired when the puppy is neutered or spayed are of no danger to the puppy are also not covered.
This puppy is guaranteed against life threatening or life altering congenital defects until its third birthday. If a defect is found. The buyer must provide documentation from two licensed veterinarians at the time of the diagnosis. Should the veterinarian find this puppy to have a serious life threatening illness or disease, (excluding parasites or coccidia) breeder will replace with puppy of equal value, when available. Puppy must be returned and accompanied with documented proof of illness from licensed veterinarian (breeder is not responsible for transportation costs). Breeder reserves the right to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian of her choice to verify diagnosis before replacing.
If a replacement puppy is required, the seller will provide a healthy puppy of same color, sex, and quality when available at a future date. All travel charges are at the buyer’s expense.

**The Whole Dog Journal Clause: If you wish to feed a different food that is recommended by Whole Dog Journal, we will accept that as an approved food for our puppy and honor this health guarantee. This all, in return, will keep your dog out of the veterinarian's office and extend his/her lifespan. We feel that this is something that we have to do for your new pet as we cannot control the dog food you are feeding, environmental issues, and the differences within household and yard. Breeder guarantees this dog/puppy is in good health at the time of purchase. Breeder will guarantee this dog/puppy against genetic defects for 30 days OR 2 years if said dog/puppy is kept on Life’s Abundance food and Wellness Supplement for two full years. All guarantees are void if you do not follow these rules.
NO EXCEPTIONS! NO SUBSTITUTIONS! If you do not keep your puppy ona food that is approved by Whole Dog Journal OR on a raw food diet, then this contract will be considered “A Breach of Contract” ; on the purchaser’s part and will no longer be a valid contract.
Puppies are not sold on a trial basis. Please be committed for the life of this dog. If a situation arises in which you cannot keep this dog you will return the dog to me and I will place the dog in a new home, but no refunds or exchanges will be given. It is important that I know where all of my puppies are. I do not want any of them in a shelter. 10. It is required that you find a reputable veterinarian to keep this puppy up to date on vaccinations and health issues. Breeder also suggests that vaccines are free of metals. Breeder assumes no responsibility for the puppy after it leaves the premises, for medical expenses, family disputes, or any other problems you have not thought out. I do not pay veterinarian bills or transportation costs under any circumstances.
