Grace is queen of our pack and she is a fair ruler. She only gets mad at other dogs when they are not following the rules of the house. Grace belongs to my son, David. She and him have "talks" where he'll share his day and she responds. It's very endearing and they are very close. Grace is a descendant of poodles that came to us from Germany.

Essi Escanaba is a regal soul. She holds herself a bit higher than the others. She will engage in play with other dogs and loves to chase, but she is equally happy to lay about on the couch. Often when I go to let the pack outside she looks at me like, "do I have to?" Essi also flashes us a smile when we call her or when she first walks up to us. I've read that this is a submissive gesture, but it is so cute.

Sooper Yooper is all about treats (she likes all food) and play. Her favorite past time is tag with other dogs or people. Faygo Cream Soda is a beauty to behold. She embodies all the traits poodles should have physically--long legs, square back, almond-shaped eyes, nice tail set. She is one of our quieter dogs and not a rule-breaker. She's also super smart; smart enough to know there's better food than kibble and she will hold out for the good stuff. She's a bit of a picky eater.

Michigan Mittens fits us like a glove--or a mitten in this case! She is our shadow. No matter where we go, Mittens isn't far away. We love her dearly. Her mother is Vera Von Annenhof, which is a dog that came to us from Germany. As such her hair is more coarse than most of the poodles here-- it's a bit stiffer. Mitten LOVES to play with all kinds of toys, kids, other dogs, and she especially loves playing in snow in the winter time.

Kalamazoo Keeper is our smallest poodle here. She is quiet and loyal. Not pushy at all at feeding time. She has this way of looking at you where she seems to be reading your mind. She's very smart and intuitive.

Beloved Benzie is a beauty to behold. I really like tuxedo marked poodles. They are a parti poodle who got blessed with an extra big "spot" that covers their body and looks like they are wearing a jacket over a white shirt. Benzie is our girl from Solace and Petosky. She is inquisitive and a rule follower--she doesn't test boundaries with us.
